Not intentionally, of course. It’s just that we got so busy reflecting on all the amazing things God did to build and equip His Church through camp ministry in 2016, and imagining what He has in store for 2017, that we forgot to consider some needs that affect us personally. Or, make your gift without knowing what the big deal is, but at least know this: a generous donor is matching any gifts made to Camp Challenge between now and the end of the year:

• Gifts of up to $999 will be matched 50%
• Gifts between $1,000-$1,999 will be matched 100%
• Gifts between $2,000-$4,999 will be matched 150%
• Gifts of $5,000-$10,000 will be matched 200%

Help Camp Challenge make sure every camper has a seat at the table during our #GivingTuesday campaign to replace our dining hall tables and chairs!

WHAT IS #GIVINGTUESDAY?

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. This year, #GivingTuesday falls on November 29^th.

HOW IS CAMP CHALLENGE PARTICIPATING?

For #GivingTuesday, Camp Challenge is raising the rest of the funds necessary to replace our dining hall folding chairs and tables. Our current stock of tables and chairs were second hand to begin with, gratefully received from some of our partner churches. However, to accommodate our growing enrollment, we use even the worst of these bent, rusted, footless chairs and stained, cracked tables simply to make sure everyone has a seat at meal time. We would like to purchase 152 new chairs (about $25 each) and 19 new tables (about $100 each), at a total cost of around $6,000.

HOW CAN I HELP?

Until November 29, you can make a donation of any amount (select #GivingTuesday). As gifts are made, we will fill in the chairs and tables in our “Dining Hall.” Watch our progress on Facebook, Instagram, or gocampchallenge.com. Please help us provide more seats at the table to feed our campers, not only physically, but spiritually, during their time at Camp Challenge!
