JOIN IN THE MINISTRY OF CAMP CHALLENGE!

Dear friends of Camp Challenge,

Busyness, distractions, and worries of this world can choke our relationship with God. Every person needs the physical and mental space in their life to hear God, make eternal decisions for Christ, grow in faith, be refreshed and renewed, and recognize their calling.

“…come with Me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Mark 6:31

Camp Challenge exists to develop followers of and leaders for Jesus Christ by encouraging disconnection from everyday distractions and reconnection to God through His creation.

“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature.” Romans 1:20

Although there is still much work to be done in achieving our mission, we see many positive signs:

  • 95% of campers said their relationship with God improved because of time spent at camp
  • 16% growth in camper enrollment since 2013
  • More than triple the number of unchurched campers attending camp since 2013
  • More than double the number of scholarships provided to low-income and inner-city ministries

While our ultimate goal is life transformation through Jesus Christ, we must also attend to providing safe, inviting, and useful spaces for our campers and guests. To that end, since 2013 we have:

Our God is big! He has a big plan for His kingdom, and we believe camp ministry is part of that plan. The goal of our board and staff is to position Camp Challenge to fully participate in the role God has for us in His plan. As we envision Camp Challenge’s future and chart a course to move toward that vision, we recognize that part of what makes Camp Challenge special is our commitment to relationships and community over activities and entertainment. So even as we intentionally cultivate this simplicity, we see the following needs as we seek to step more fully into the role God has prepared for us:

  • Dedicated staff position for developing summer and year-round programming
  • Dining hall renovation in order to accommodate our full guest capacity
  • Infrastructure repairs to support our existing facilities
  • Additional lodging and restroom facilities

The vision is on the verge of moving forward in a powerful way–it is an exciting time in the life of Camp Challenge! We invite you to partner with us in realizing the vision by making a one-time or automatic recurring gift at gocampchallenge.com/give, or by mailing your gift to the camp office. We are also able to accept donations of stock or securities or assist with planned giving information; contact us for additional information.

In His Service,

Brian Klein
