The incredible network of people that you have once you leave camp.
I moved two hours away from home to go to college, but I have never felt homesick because of all the friends that I had made at camp that live in Indianapolis. I may have only seen them one week a summer every year but they are definitely like my family. They opened their houses to me so I now have a home away from home.

Camp was fun that year. I made so many friends! That was defiantly the best year.

Hey!
Choir tour is such an awesome experience. You get to interact with people who love worshiping and praising God. Plus, of course, you make life long friends. It is amazing to see the faces of the people at the churches we sing at and they just love seeing all of us sing for them. Choir tour is a must, you don’t want to miss out on it.

Hey everyone, I’m Kelli, the youth choir director and for those of you who know nothing about the choir tour, let me tell you a few things…
1. Worshiping on tour is a must! Singing our hearts out every night for God is what we do on this tour.
2. While God takes care of the heart issues…it has been given to me to take care of the voice issues. I will send you music ahead of time, you will learn it as best as you can, and then we all get together and hard core practice it so that you’re comfortable with your part.
3. When you aren’t in the middle of a concert, you are either on the bus with 30 new best friends, staying at people’s houses with you new 2-3 best friends, or chillin’ at the various churches with your 30 new best friends.
4. Margie and Bill get you set up for the tour, while Kara and myself get you ready for each performance.
5. Various student leaders will take turns leading this group in devotions, prayer and some fun activities.

1. Being with god every moment of the day!
2. Spending time with great friends and counselors!
3. The food of course YUM!
4. Getting time alone with god to talk!
5. People there to listen!
6. Getting away from home for just a week!
7. Meeting new friends and getting to spend time with old ones!
8. Night hikes!
9. WORSHIP
10.Knock out haha love playing that game at camp!
Those are my 10 reasons camp is awsome! Ive gone there for about 4 years and loved it every summer never got homesick never wanted to leave! This is my 5th summer going and each time i go some counselor blesses me and i feel so close to god and thats all that i ask for! Thank you sooo much for letting me come enjoy this camp! I grew up going to Camp Challenge in the ’70s. I went every year and when I was in 7th grade I met a very nice, kind of shy girl from Indianapolis named Rita. Most years at camp and at state youth functions I saw this young lady. I lived in New Albany. My senior year at camp, Rita and I got together and the first of July, 2009, we will have been married 31 years. We have quite a few friends that met their future spouse at camp.

Camp Challenge is a great place to develop and deepen your relationship with Christ but it is also a place to develop relationships with people your own age. These relationships will transcend the years because when you see these people, you are almost immediately transported back to the “camp years” and you pick up almost where you left off. My wife Rita and I love camp challenge and it has been a joy to watch our boys, Joshua and Brandon go to camp there.

The Lord has blessed this camp when you come to this place you can feel the presence of God around you, I have been a christian all my life but camp challenge was the first place God was real to me! praise Jesus he lives!! truly this camp has changed me forever!
